Board of Directors – FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions of what will be involved if you decide to become involved as a director.

Q:  What Country do I need to live in to become a director and sit on the board of directors for New Hope 4 Life?

A:  To be eligible for a directors spot, you must live and reside within Canada.

Q:  Does it matter where I live in Canada?

A:  No. As long as you are a Canadian and live in Canada you are eligible.

Q:  Where is the head office of New Hope 4 Life?

A:  Our head office is based out of Ottawa, ON.

Q:  What will be my duties if I become a director?

A:  The duties of a director will be to join our board of director meetings which is held once every 2 months. Each meeting last approx between 30min to 1 hour.  New Hope 4 Life does the meetings through Google Meet therefore in order to be able to join these meetings, each director must have a Gmail address or a Google Passport email address.

Q:  Do you record the board of director meetings?

A: Yes. Each meeting are recorded (audio only) so that when New Hope 4 Life applies for grant money, we can show proof of what our organization is doing.

Q:  What information do I need to provide in order to become a director?

A:  You will need to provide your complete legal name including your home address & your Gmail address &/or your Google passport email. New Hope 4 Life needs to send this information to Service Canada so that you can legally be registered.
